ICCAN survey report and focus groups summary

We have published a report summarising feedback on ICCAN’s Emerging view on the future of aviation noise management document.

In October 2020, ICCAN set out a draft vision for how noise management could be improved upon in the future, alongside proposals for how ICCAN could help seek to achieve this through the delivery of specific goals and activities.

We sought feedback on these proposals during an eight-week survey period in which we also ran six online focus groups. A summary and notes from these focus groups are available to view here

The feedback and comments received during the focus groups have been considered alongside the survey responses in preparation for ICCAN’s second Corporate Strategy 2021-2024, and our Report on the future of aviation noise management

All survey responses are also available to view here, some names and organisations have been removed upon request.

The Independent Commission on Civil Aviation noise ceased operating on 30 September 2021.

You can read the Government’s statement on ICCAN’s closure and Head Commissioner Rob Light’s letter to the Minister to learn more.

Any further questions about ICCAN’s work or aviation noise should be directed to the Department for Transport.
