ICCAN Commissioner Simon Henley is a Fellow and Past President of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He served as an Aircraft Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy for 32 years, retiring in the rank of Rear Admiral.  His roles included being the UK lead in the US/UK Joint Strike Fighter Programme Office, leading the UK’s F-35 Lightning Project Team for four years and his last role was as the Technical Director and Head of Programme Management for the Defence Equipment and Support Organisation. He then worked as a Programme Director at Rolls-Royce followed by President of a multinational aircraft engine company. He currently works as a Business and Industry Strategy Adviser for Reaction Engines.
