ICCAN Commissioner Simon Henley is a Fellow and was the President of the Royal Aeronautical Society from 2018 to 2019. He served as an Aircraft Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy for 32 years, retiring in the rank of Rear Admiral. Prior to retirement, he was the Technical Director and Head of Programme Management for the Defence Equipment and Support Organisation. Simon also served as the UK lead in the US/UK Joint Strike Fighter Programme Office, led the UK’s Joint Combat Aircraft Integrated Project Team for four years, and was Programme Director at Rolls-Royce. He currently works as a Business and Industry Strategy Adviser for Reaction Engines Ltd.
